I'm Cindy

Creative Director & Senior Writer

I've been writing since I was about this size.

Growing up, my folks flipped houses where I realized installing drywall probably wasn't my calling. In 2nd grade I filled a spiral with my first stab at a novel. In 4th I crossbred dalmatian mice in my bathtub and sold them to local pet shops for a premium.

Since then I've out-run a baboon, met Castro, celebrated Iftar with the Royal Court of Jordan, "broke" an F1, and have developed an illicit relationship with running shoes, road bikes and downhill skis. The result’s a slightly taller version of what you see here, with a firm belief that good things happen when you get your hands dirty and learn by doing. In case you were wondering, you cannot crossbreed a black and tan mouse. It's a recessive thing. And I'm still quite fond of patching plaster

I am obsessed with this hugely under-tapped gap between entertainment and brand. Creative projects outside adland include some screenwriting (learn by doing and writing shitty first drafts), partnering with a Belgrade-based art and design platform incubating a few new product designs (in development), and classes at UCB & Second City Hollywood when I can fit 'em in.

Eleven Inc.

Creative Director

I've been the CD on Dignity Health and all things Humankindness since I started at Eleven, and consider myself lucky to be surrounded by smart, talented, collaborative people I adore. My self-imposed mission: Elevate Humankindness to something richer than "nice." Let it be emotional, funny, multi-cultural, and socially relevant like we all are. You know, as humans.

Creative Director | Senior Copywriter

Freelance is sexy. You get to hop a lot, work with some rad people in beautiful places. And the work's across the board, covering integrated platforms, digital and social content, traditional and experiential.

Los Angeles, dubai

Associate Creative Director | Senior Copywriter

People ask me, "Why Dubai?" Some crazy things happen there that you just can't rival anywhere else. It's also where I found my creative groove. I had the privilege to work with the Queen of Jordan, launched Ferrari World, and learned a lot. We pitched our faces off and were lucky to win enough new business to survive the 2009 economic crash, with hardly any layoffs.

New Biz: Ferrari World, Omniyat Properties, Arabian Canal (a Limitless master development), Capitol Mall Abu Dhabi, Desert Rock Music Festival, Anayou (by Du Telecom, think Google+ for Arabia), Eurosport Arabia, Jumeirah International.

Lead creative for: Ferrari World, Madrasati, Twix, Wiskas, Pedigree, Shangri-la, Desert Rock Music Festival, Omniyat Properties, Arabian Canal by Limitless,  Anayou, Eurosport Arabia.

Pinch-hitter for: Nissan, Visa, Jumeirah International, CNN Middle East, Michelin,, Qatar Foundation & SAE Institute.

Publicis West

Junior Copywriter

I got my feet wet in Seattle where I learned from some fantastic senior creatives, who I had a chance to work with again at Microsoft, a good 7 years later. Love it when things come around full circle.

Clients: T-Mobile, HP, Citibank, Malibu Rum, Real Networks, Washington State Lottery

Creative Internships:

Saatchi & Saatchi,  London & New York
Leo Burnett Budapest

I lucked out with internships. For the most part we were functioning like a junior team. And on our very first brief at Leo we pitched and won NaturAqua, Coca-Cola's Hungarian spring water brand.

Played Varsity LAX, sang with the Boston Pops, did the RA thing (but wasn't a very responsible one) and convinced a panel of professors that Semester at Sea counted as legit research for my honors thesis.

Around the world in 100 days

on an old cruise ship converted to a floating campus. Due to political instability following 9-11, the itinerary was in constant flux– never sure how each country might react to a boatload of mostly American college students. Met Castro, Desmond Tutu, outran a baboon, survived 20 foot seas and realized I have some serious exploring and language learning to do. Ports-of-call: Vancouver, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, India, Seychelles, South Africa, Brazil, Cuba.
