Ventureland brought me on board to write
the pilot VO, set the tone for the whole series, tease the next episode, sprinkle some poetry, and highlight the thematic hooks. Basically, land it, and help the audience understand how much these stories matter - with personal and cultural threads that run far deeper than the usual superficial chatter. These women are shaking up an entrenched white corporate industry wildly overdue for change. Loved working on this. What. A. Treat. My focus was on E1 to set it up so the rest could follow.

In Episode 1 Emmy winning host, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, takes us back to her roots in New York City to start a deep dive into Latine beauty. We meet up with beauty brand founders to chat self-care, family, community, the rituals we pass down through generations, and find out how Sephora’s rising Latine Founders are making waves in the beauty industry today.
Stream E1on Peacock or TribecaX has it here.

Produced in collaboration with: Sephora, NBCUniversal, Ventureland, Digitas, and VOX. Directed by the brilliant Gabriela Ortega. And the results were beautiful.
